Avocado Smoothie…..yum

So if your like me and sometimes you want to try something different with your avocado and not always make it into guacamole this smoothie maybe the answer.

First you want to start out with a ripe haas avocado. Depending on how much you want to make you can use the hole avocado or only half.

Your avocado should be dark on the outside and to a medium to soft feel when you press it.

Next take your blender and fill it up with ice if you want it be a little chill. Next I add  an apple banana. Apple banana’s are sold in just about every grocery store and farmer’s market here in Hawaii. They have a much sweeter taste than your regular banana almost reminiscent to a carmel apple flavor.

Next you can add any milk of choice. Soy, whole, almond, hemp etc. I use soy milk all the time for any smoothie. You may want to start with 1/4 cup and add more as needed for the consistency that you prefer.

For extra creaminess you may also add your favorite type of yogurt. I use greek yogurt and the brand really doesnt matter that much to me. This brand is usually the cheapest and normally I get plain greek yogurt. This one is honey flavored, I was in a hurry that day and grabbed this flavor by accident. I’m glad I did cause it is so-delish!

After all your ingredients are in your blender you want to blend everything. Start at low speed and gradually work your way up until all the ingredients are incorporated together. Enjoy!!!
